We looked at each other a little too long to be ‘just friends’.

Betrayal. The rawest kind that rips through your flesh, straight to your soul. Lies lies lies and lies. For months you watched me on the ground, slowly picking up the pieces of my shattered pride. When I asked you, you looked me in the eye and said I must be crazy. Isn’t it maddening how blindly I went down that rabbit hole? You must have liked the way I looked, down on the floor with the dirt at your feet. Did the power feel good? For once it was me in the wrong, and there you were standing tall and proud, with not a single thought of empathy. You allowed me to worship you, and, God, what a false idol you were. Your apologies sound so sweet, but I know better than to let my heart be beat.
Trust is built on such fragile ground, so why do you keep causing earthquakes? (via lovely-little-lesbian)
